천국, 인생 전체를 걸 하나님 나라

36이에 예수께서 무리를 떠나사 집에 들어가시니 제자들이 나아와 이르되 밭의 가라지의 비유를 우리에게 설명하여 주소서 36Then he left the crowd and went into the house. His disciples came to him and said, 'Explain to us the parable of the weeds in the field.'
37대답하여 이르시되 좋은 씨를 뿌리는 이는 인자요 37He answered, 'The one who sowed the good seed is the Son of Man.
38밭은 세상이요 좋은 씨는 천국의 아들들이요 가라지는 악한 자의 아들들이요 38The field is the world, and the good seed stands for the sons of the kingdom. The weeds are the sons of the evil one,
39가라지를 뿌린 원수는 마귀요 추수 때는 세상 끝이요 추수꾼은 천사들이니 39and the enemy who sows them is the devil. The harvest is the end of the age, and the harvesters are angels.
40그런즉 가라지를 거두어 불에 사르는 것 같이 세상 끝에도 그러하리라 40'As the weeds are pulled up and burned in the fire, so it will be at the end of the age.
41인자가 그 천사들을 보내리니 그들이 그 나라에서 모든 넘어지게 하는 것과 또 불법을 행하는 자들을 거두어 내어 41The Son of Man will send out his angels, and they will weed out of his kingdom everything that causes sin and all who do evil.
42풀무 불에 던져 넣으리니 거기서 울며 이를 갈게 되리라 42They will throw them into the fiery furnace, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
43그 때에 의인들은 자기 아버지 나라에서 해와 같이 빛나리라 귀 있는 자는 들으라 43Then the righteous will shine like the sun in the kingdom of their Father. He who has ears, let him hear.
44천국은 마치 밭에 감추인 보화와 같으니 사람이 이를 발견한 후 숨겨 두고 기뻐하며 돌아가서 자기의 소유를 다 팔아 그 밭을 사느니라 44'The kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field. When a man found it, he hid it again, and then in his joy went and sold all he had and bought that field.
45또 천국은 마치 좋은 진주를 구하는 장사와 같으니 45'Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant looking for fine pearls.
46극히 값진 진주 하나를 발견하매 가서 자기의 소유를 다 팔아 그 진주를 사느니라 46When he found one of great value, he went away and sold everything he had and bought it.
47또 천국은 마치 바다에 치고 각종 물고기를 모는 그물과 같으니 47'Once again, the kingdom of heaven is like a net that was let down into the lake and caught all kinds of fish.
48그물에 가득하매 물 가로 끌어 내고 앉아서 좋은 것은 그릇에 담고 못된 것은 내버리느니라 48When it was full, the fishermen pulled it up on the shore. Then they sat down and collected the good fish in baskets, but threw the bad away.
49세상 끝에도 이러하리라 천사들이 와서 의인 중에서 악인을 갈라 내어 49This is how it will be at the end of the age. The angels will come and separate the wicked from the righteous
50풀무 불에 던져 넣으리니 거기서 울며 이를 갈리라 50and throw them into the fiery furnace, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

천국은 분명 세상 끝날 하나님의 심판에 의해 완성될 것입니다(39, 49절). 그러나 천국은 그때 갑자기 나타나는 것이 아니라 계속 결말을 향해 가는 과정에 있습니다. 지금도 천국의 씨가 뿌려져 자라고 있으며(37~40절), 천국의 그물은 사람들을 모으고 있습니다(47~48절). 그렇기에 우리는 세상의 다른 모든 것을 포기해서라도 천국을 소유해야만 합니다. 천국은 귀중한 보화와 같이 또는 극히 값진 진주같이 너무나 소중해서 자신의 소유를 다 팔아 소유할 만한 가치가 있는 것입니다(44~46절). 예수님께서는 농업과 상업과 어업의 비유를 통해 천국을 설명하시며, 미래에 완성될 천국은 지금 현재 어떤 선택을 하느냐에 따라 그 안에 속할 수 있는지 없는지가 결정된다는 가르침을 주십니다. 또한 지금 내가 이 보화와 진주를 위해 대가를 지불하면 미래의 천국을 소유할 수 있을 뿐만 아니라, 현재도 천국을 누릴 수 있음을 가르쳐 주십니다. 나는 천국을 먼 미래의 일로만 생각하며 지금은 세상적인 가치관을 따라야 한다고 생각하고 있지는 않습니까?

영원히 가치 있는 것을 선택해 천국을 누리며 살게 하소서.
